Twisted Pit BBQ was founded by Zach Zeller and Evan Percoco, two friends with a shared passion for authentic Texas-inspired BBQ with a Florida twist. What began as a simple vision to bring bold flavors and a true smokehouse experience to Lakewood Ranch has grown into a lively gathering place for families, friends, and food lovers across the community.
From brisket and ribs to signature BBQ creations, every plate is crafted with care, using time-honored techniques that honor Texas roots while celebrating Florida flair.

At Twisted Pit BBQ, excellence is no accident. Chef Evan Percoco, a classically trained chef with more than 20 years of experience, brings his culinary expertise and dedication to every plate. Together with co-owner Zach Zeller, the two are also the proud owners of The Peculiar Pub and Percoco’s Pizza and Pasta, sharing their love of food, community, and hospitality across Lakewood Ranch.
